ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING PROGRAMS

Electrical and electronic engineers generate many of the technological changes that characterize modern global society, from the innovative use of microelectronic chips, to high-speed international telecommunications links. To maintain its rapid technological advance and powerful socioeconomic influence, the electronic engineering profession needs dynamic engineers who can absorb and develop new ideas and adapt easily to changing technology.

These programs aim to provide student with the analytical skills, design expertise, and flexibility required to adapt to and master the rapidly evolving technologies.

BEng ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING

Program Outlines
This program will provide student with a broad-based education, so student will gain competence in a wide range of electronic and electrical engineering disciplines. Students will begin with the fundamental principles, such as digital, analogue electronics, telecommunications, computing, mathematics and management. Students will then be able to specialize in areas of particular interest or relevance to student's future career by selecting from our wide range of options.

Subject Guide
This course covers Concept of Electronics; Concepts of Electronic Engineering; computing; Communications and the Internet; Mathematics; Business and Professional Studies; Digital System Architecture; Signal Processing; Digital Transmission; Communication Systems; Internetworking; Control; and Optoelectronics.

BEng ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING WITH MANAGEMENT STUDIES

Program Outlines
This program complements with management studies modules. Student will gain both analytical skills and design expertise in electronics from our Electronic engineering curriculum. This will be enhanced with elements of marketing, management, project organization, finance and planning, giving student the skills to take well- reasoned design management, planning and financial decisions.

BEng COMMUNICATIONS ENGINEERING

Program Outlines
Electronic Communication Systems impact all sectors of engineering and the business world, making ready, rapid and reliable access to information, one of the key elements of modern society. The demand for experts with skills in areas such as data communications, mobile communications and microwave engineering is buoyant in every industry reliant on the timely exchange of vital information.

This program provides student with a firm grounding in the principles and practices of electronic engineering, and to emphasize the skills and techniques in telecommunications, optoelectronics and radio frequency technologies required by the communications engineer. Studies in electronic engineering, including digital, analogue and programmable electronics are complemented with work on the principles of communications Internet technology, optoelectronics and radio engineering.

CAREER PROSPECTS
Well-trained engineers with skills in electronics design are still in demand, and the shortage of engineers with telecommunications skill is extreme and well documented.
